We are pleased that you will be joining us for our June 24-30, 2012, Yoga for the Special Child ® Basic 1 Program. The program will be taught by Sonia Sumar and Kathy Randolph.

The course begins Sunday, June 24th ### at 9:00 a.m. and ends Saturday, June 30th between 12:00 – 1:00p.m. The Program outline is attached.
The Workshop program is being submitted for Continuing Education Credits by:

If you need continuing education credits in a related occupation please contact Kathy at The Yoga Center about approval by the appropriate State of Nevada authority. If you are from another state, you need to check with your own state board to see if they accept CEU's approved in Nevada .
TRANSPORTATION
The Yoga Center will provide transportation from the airport to your hotel. On the final day, The Yoga Center can pick you and your luggage up at the hotel before the training, and then take you directly to the airport afterwards if you wish. The Yoga Center will also provide transportation for several outings to markets for food shopping if you aren't driving a car.
Participants will be responsible for their meals and accommodations. If you need a room with handicap access, please remember to mention it at the time you make your reservation.
MEALS
There are 20 reasonably priced restaurants within 1 mile of The Yoga Center. Most have vegetarian available, some provide made to order for food allergies, vegan and vegetarian. There are 4 parks within 1 mile for picnicking. The Great Basin Food Co-op, with local organic groceries, is walking distance from The Yoga Center. There are also whole food and organic stores within driving distance. The Yoga Center will provide maps to the restaurants and markets, and will also provide transportation for several outings so you can shop for food if you aren't driving a car.
Linda Clark of Naturally, Nana is offering a raw food menu delivered daily to The Yoga Center. A sample menu is available on request. You can contact her with any questions, and a final menu will be available before you arrive.
ACCOMODATIONS
Please note: Reno is a tourist destination and hotels fill early. Please book your reservation as soon as possible.

You will be charged the base rate when you make your reservation, and a $5 per night resort fee upon check in. Additional daily charge for internet wireless access, but there is a computer in the lobby for brief use such as checking e-mail.
If we have 5 or more rooms, we can arrange a group rate at a discount, so contact Kathy at The Yoga Center if you plan to stay at the Legacy Vacation Club. If you would like to share lodging, let Kathy know.

Reno/Tahoe International Airport (RNO)
The airport is 2.3 miles from The Yoga Center.
-A notebook and writing materials
-A yoga mat The Yoga Center has mats available for your use if you are traveling light.
-A therapy doll for you to practice with during group instruction and yoga demonstrations. The doll should have arms and legs long enough to manipulate into yoga poses. Large size “Raggedy Ann” type dolls work best. If you are traveling light please let us know and we will have a doll available for you to use during the program.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes, including pants and shirts that allow you to move freely during yoga postures. The weather in Reno in June can range from snow to 100 degree temperatures, and often include 40 degree swings from day to night. Dress in layers, and bring sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. The area is in the high desert, at 4,800 ft. elevation and humidity in the single digits, so drink plenty of water.
For parents or caregivers who plan to attend the Program with their child, we have included a questionnaire. Please fill it out and return it to us as soon as possible. If you know of any parents of children with special needs who would like to bring their children to be worked with during the Program as demonstrations, please contact Kathy Randolph at The Yoga Center for information.
Parents will be responsible for providing their own childcare. We can put you in contact with certified teachers and licensed day care providers in the area if you like. Please contact Kathy at The Yoga Center for referrals.
A deposit of $250.00 will hold your space, and total payment of $960.00 ($250.00 deposit and $710.00 final payment) for the Basic Program must be made in full at least one month prior to the program start date.

MasterCard and Visa will be accepted for Yoga for the Special Child tuition starting March 2012.
All payments made are non-refundable , unless the program is canceled by Yoga for the Special Child (YSC), in which event you will receive a full refund. However YSC shall not be responsible for refunding airline tickets or hotels under any circumstances.
If registrant cancels 10 or more days before the program start date, by way of YSC receiving notice from registrant within that time, the sum of $50 shall be deducted by YSC as an expense of administration. Any balance paid in excess of $50 shall be held for registrant without interest, and may be applied by registrant to another program within one year of cancellation. If not applied within one year, all monies paid shall be forfeited.
If registrant cancels less than 10 days before the program start date, the sum of $250 shall be deducted by YSC as an expense of administration. Any balance paid in excess of $250 shall be held by YSC without interest, and may be applied by registrant to another program within one year of cancellation. If not applied within one year, all monies paid shall be forfeited
Barring a medical emergency, no refund will be issued to participants after the Program begins.
No Certificate or License will be issued to any participant who fails to attend the complete program. There are no exceptions .
The teacher training experience can be a time of deep emotional connection for some people. Though this process is healing, it can also be stressful. If you have any history of mental illness i.e. depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder or any form of psychosis, it would be very helpful for your teacher to know in order to be sensitive to your needs.
*PLEASE NOTIFY US IF YOU WILL BE TAKING ANY PRESCRIPTION DRUGS DURING THE TIME OF THE PROGRAM.
